MILWAUKEE - Cleaver-Brooks has announced the expansion of its Stratford, Ontario, location. The company said the boiler manufacturing facility has been expanded to allow the firm to better address the increased need for production of small, modular boilers, including its newest model, the ClearFire CFC condensing boiler.

According to Cleaver-Brooks, the ClearFire production line enables the manufacture of two CFC model units per day in only a single eight-hour shift. This new production line will support the full ClearFire family of products including model CFC sizes 500-2,500 hp, model CFH sizes 10-80 hp, and model CFV sizes from 10-60 hp.

“The rising fuel costs and mandatory emissions regulations are forcing customers to find new ways to conserve energy and increase fuel efficiency in the boiler room,” said Earle Pfefferkorn, president of C-B Package Boiler. “Increased production of our modular ClearFire boiler through this expansion allows us to strengthen our commitment to helping customers achieve performance improvements.”

The ClearFire CFC boiler achieves operating efficiencies of 99 percent in full-condensing mode, said the company. The modular hot water boiler is single pass-down fired with rugged stainless steel construction and comes in sizes ranging from 750 MBtuh to 2,500 MBtuh. Utilizing a premix burner with a metal fiber head, the CFC model provides NOx emissions of less than 10 ppm, significantly lower than the industry average of 62 ppm, the company said.
