WALTHAM, Mass. - Johnstone Supply, in Waltham, Worcester, and Lowell, Mass., was awarded the Commonwealth of Massachusetts HVACR supply contract, FAC58. This contract covers all such purchases by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Johnstone Supply is locally owned as well as being a national distributor for hundreds of vendors. Its selection of HVACR parts and equipment includes motors to 500 hp, controls, tools, test equipment, electrical components, and air-moving devices. In addition, the company offers OEM replacement parts from manufacturers including McQuay, Carrier, Goodman, Islandaire, Lennox, Fujitsu, Trane, LG, Copeland, Rheem, York, and others, plus replacement parts for ice machine brands including Kold-Draft, Ice-O-Matic, and Hoshizaki.

“We believe one of the reasons we were selected by the Commonwealth is for our commitment to green initiatives,” said Michael Youngs, regional operations manager for Johnstone Supply. Energy costs are the single largest controllable cost in most commercial buildings. “We believe that ‘Going Green’ is a necessity today in order to lower operating costs and reduce a building’s carbon footprint, while increasing comfort and air quality.”
