Jan. 20, 2004: Carrier Appoints Two To Distribution Roles

FARMINGTON, Conn. - Carrier Corporation has announced the appointments of Kelly Romano to the position of vice president and general manager, Sales and Distribution, and Greg Alcorn to replace Romano as vice president, Independent Distribution. According to the company, the appointments support its increased focus on distribution effectiveness and customer service in the North American HVAC market.

In her newly created position, Romano is responsible for driving sales and market share growth within Carrier's wholly owned distributors. "Kelly is well qualified for this role, and brings extensive and diverse experiences from her 20 years with Carrier with increasingly responsible positions in residential and commercial marketing, business development, customer service, and product management," said Tony Guzzi, president of Carrier's North America Distribution and Aftermarket business unit.

Since June 2000 Romano was vice president, Distributor Relations. In that role she managed the relationship between Carrier and its independent distributors in the United States.

As vice president, Independent Distribution, Alcorn will support Carrier's North American HVAC businesses and independent distributors, working closely with the two National Distributor Advisory Council Chairs, distributor principals and their associates, as well as the North America Residential, Commercial, and Replacement Components Division Sales and Marketing teams.

Most recently, Alcorn served as director, Operations for the Carrier Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic distribution organization.
