Jan. 18, 2008: ASHRAE Launches eLearning Library

ATLANTA - The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Learning Institute has launched an eLearning library, providing online, on-demand HVACR educational courses.

The eLearning library gives subscribers access to a range of long and short eLearning courses for a period of 12 months. During that time, subscribers are able to access 19 full-length courses and 50 stand-alone short courses.

According to ASHRAE, full courses comprehensively cover a broad subject area in a structured manner, using short course modules on specific topics. Short courses can be completed in convenient time frames, typically two to four hours.

Courses currently available in the eLearning library include Fundamentals of HVAC Systems, Fundamentals of Standard 90.1, Fundamentals of HVAC Controls Systems, and Standard 90.1 for Architects. Some 15 courses are scheduled to be added to the library in 2008.

Any number or combination of the Web-based courses in the ASHRAE eLearning library can be taken anywhere, any time at the user’s own pace. For more information, or to order, visit www.ashrae-elearning.org.
