ATLANTA - FM Solutions LLC has announced the expansion of its WorkOasisâ„¢ facility management contractor network. Commercial real estate owners and managers will now be able to access a national network of certified suppliers that covers 1,100 cities in North America for 68 facility services categories.

WorkOasis is a Web-based contractor management service that provides electronic work order management. According to the company, the centrally hosted program automates the service contracting process including the certification of suppliers, contractor selection, maintenance planning, work order management, work approval, performance measurement, invoicing, and payment. It is paperless and includes a detailed, Sarbanes Oxley compliant, electronic audit trail.

WorkOasis creates a collaborative integrated business process where site personnel, contractors, facility managers, operations, and finance all use the same application and participate in one automated workflow resulting in improved communication, speed, and problem resolution, says the company.

Bill Flynn, executive vice president of Mallory and Evans Services, an HVAC services contractor in Atlanta, who has been part of WorkOasis certified supplier network for the past two years, stated, "Any service that can help us secure new customers, reduce paperwork, and help us get paid faster provides a huge competitive advantage. Being part of the WorkOasis network has been a smart move for us."

Facility management industry veteran Bob Dickhaus, founder of FM Solutions and WorkOasis, commented, "The ability of WorkOasis to create an industry standard for the service contracting process is a win-win scenario for real estate managers and contractors. Applying technology to solve common problems like finding a good contractor, reducing paperwork, and eliminating invoicing errors, while simple, can save large real estate owners millions of dollars."
