The Bell & Gossett Technologic® 5500 ZoneSav™ controller is designed to optimize zone/bridge flow and distribution loop delta T without sacrificing humidity control and comfort. The controller makes it possible to “decouple” zones thermally as well as hydraulically from the chilled- or hot-water distribution systems. The controller is suitable for either two- or three-way control valve applications. Standard features of the controller include a wall-mounted NEMA 1 enclosure, temperature inputs/readouts, adjustable proportional integral derivative (PID) functions, automatic or manual system control, system purge, PID auto-tuning functions, energy optimization, and valve limit user-accessible parameters. The multiple units’ modes of operation include temperature/humidity optimization, gallons per minute/Btu readout, flow limit control (zone flow limiting), and differential temperature/temperature optimization.
