ISH-NA Features HVAC, Business Seminars

BOSTON - The New England area is preparing to host the third ISH North America International Trade Show for the kitchen and bath, plumbing, pvf (pipes, valves, fittings), and heating and air conditioning trades. The show will be held on Oct. 12-14, 2004, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

Besides an expo featuring hundreds of manufacturers showing new technologies and trends, there will also be educational seminars for each market segment. The HVAC seminar tracts and a partial list of business management tracts are listed below.

Seminars

Carbon Monoxide Panel - A panel of certified instructors, ex-pert editors, and industry leaders will discuss the carbon monoxide issues, safety, and solutions, moderated by News' business management editor John R. Hall. Panelists will include Jim Davis, George Lanthier, Rudy Leatherman, Tim McElwain, and Mark Hunt.

Improving Workplace Quality and Motivating Employees - Learn techniques to improve the work environment, motivate employees, and promote overall performance improvement and customer focus. Speaker will be Frank Besednjak.

Poor School IAQ - HVACR contractors have an opportunity to turn poor school indoor air quality into a healthy profit center. Speaker will be The News' John R. Hall.

Moisture and Mold - Learn the facts relating to mildew, mold, and moisture problems indoors. Construction methods, microenvironments, psychrometrics, and moisture control will be discussed. Speaker is Frank Besednjak.

Implementing Technology for Profit Now - Discover the future; learn how to implement, train, and integrate advances in technology into a service company. Session will cover state-of-the-art call and dispatch center technology, efficiency of inventory control management, and training.
