Invensys Promotes Designer Thermostats To Contractors

Robertshaw Designer Series thermostats feature custom covers.
CAROL STREAM, Ill. - Invensys Climate Controls has launched a promotional campaign to 10,000 HVAC contractors in the United States and Canada to drive sales of its new Robertshaw Designer Series 8400 and 8600 thermostats featuring the industry's first custom thermostat covers.

The company announced a "Bakers Dozen" promotion, offering contractors one free thermostat in the new series for every 12 purchased. The program has been extended to run through Dec. 31, 2004. The launch is also being supported by a direct mail campaign directed to contractors and trade advertising focused on the new product line.

"The new Stat Snapâ„¢ thermostat covers will excite homeowners and give contractors an opportunity for add-on sales," said Debra Reaves, Invensys Climate Controls industry manager for heating.

The 8400 and 8600 Models feature faceplates designed to complement any home's decor. Sold separately, the Stat Snap plates are available in black, bronze, and stainless finishes as well as clear, which homeowners can customize with paint or wallpaper.
