A new Heil residential package line of heat pumps and air conditioners gives dealers an aggressive entry-level competitor in the 13 SEER mobile home and standard residential construction markets, said the company. Both the PHT3 heat pump and PAT3 air conditioner are available in 2- to 5-ton capacities. The heat pumps offer up to 7.7 HSPF, solid-state time/temperature defrost control, and are available with slip-in electrical heat from 5-20 kW. The R-22 package air conditioners and heat pumps are designed for ground applications and for zero clearance installations. They feature easy service access from the side, and round duct openings allow for easy adaptation to existing ductwork. These package products are designed with Copeland scroll compressors and direct drive multispeed blower motors. The units come with a five-year parts limited warranty.
