The Grasslin brand GM40AV mechanical time switch and GM40AVE electronic time switch now incorporate an auto-voltage selection feature that automatically detects the appropriate voltage supply needs for any 40-A heavy-duty load. The new auto-voltage feature takes the place of the standard DIP switch. Also, it takes the worry out of potential wiring errors and reduces installation time, which is very helpful to contractors and installers in the field, says the company. Features include amber and green LEDs indicating power and status, auto-voltage feature, and NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure (standard). Both clocks detect the appropriate voltage automatically, shortening installation times. According to the manufacturer, the time switches provide all the features needed to replace dozens of competitive clocks, reducing the amount of SKUs a distributor needs to stock. The GM40AV and GM40AVE are commonly used in commercial, industrial, and institutional applications. Both deliver control of heavy-duty loads such as lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, and other industrial equipment.
