DES MOINES, Iowa - Following its recent expansion and name change from MECHdata Inc., Industry People Group™, a provider of executive recruitment and job posting/résumé board services in the HVACR, sheet metal, control, electrical, plumbing, and piping (MEP) trades, has moved to new offices in Urbandale, Iowa.

The company officially marked the start of business in its new, larger location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 14. Dignitaries attending included representatives from the Iowa Department of Economic Development and the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Urbandale Mayor Brad Zaun, members of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, and current clients of Industry People Group.

"Contrary to what the prophets of doom have been saying about our country's economy, our segment of the marketplace is running strong," said Stephen Spain, chief operating officer for Industry People Group. "During an election year, the realities of the employment marketplace often get distorted. Clearly, there is no shortage of employment opportunities or good job candidates in the MEP trades we serve, and we believe that to be the case in many other industries as well.

"In fact, we'd like to challenge all ‘human capital' companies in Iowa to do something special - before the end of this year - to help Iowa's highly skilled job seekers find a great job faster."
