WALNUT, CA — The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) announced that it has begun receiving applications for positions on the Plumbing Technical Committee and Mechanical Technical Committee.

The IAPMO says the effort is being undertaken due to the association’s continuing efforts to provide for true consensus in the development of the Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Mechanical Code.

Included in the responsibilities of these committees is the preparation and processing of proposals and comments to amend existing documents, codes, standards, recommended practices, and guides. The IAPMO said that it will release the procedures and regulations the committees will follow no later than Oct. 15, 2000.
