Hydraulic Institute Launches Website

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has launched www.pumps.org, a website devoted to the pump industry. The site will serve as a primary resource for manufacturer/supplier contact information, industry news, educational materials, and pump standards and books.

A key feature of the HI website is the “Supplier Finder,” which allows users to identify the pump manufacturer or supplier that best serves their needs. The user can select from search criteria including three specific product categories, markets served, company names, trade names, and state location(s).

With the pump industry consolidation, this feature allows users to track products to their current corporate owner. Extensive corporate profile information on each company is presented in multiple search fields. In many cases, the user will be able to link directly with the corporate website.

Users can also find a full line of training and educational materials at the e-store location. Products include the 2000 edition of Pump Industry Standards, the HI/DOE-sponsored video education program on “Energy Reduction in Pumps and Pumping Systems.”

Users can visit the HI News Section, which posts recent news releases, presentations delivered at HI-sponsored events and programs, issues of the HI Pump Forum newsletter, and a progress summary on institute activities.
