Hvac Parts Maker Opens SC Plant

TRENTON, SC — Components Manufacturing Co., a maker of parts for the hvac industry, will open a plant that is expected to start production later this year.

The Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle reported May 31 that the New York-based company will lease and renovate a 176,000-sq-ft building from Shaw Industries. The company is investing about $4 million, including $700,000 in office improvements, in the project, company officials were quoted as saying.

The plant is expected to create 175 jobs with an annual payroll of nearly $3 million.

CMC is a subsidiary of Pace Industries, which has manufacturing plants in the U.S. and Canada.
