MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. - HVAC Excellence released its Heating, Electrical, Air Conditioning Technology examination (HEAT), a student outcome assessment exam based in part on the national Skill Standards. The program is designed to help HVACR educators evaluate the effectiveness of their programs.

HEAT is a 100-question exam that measures students' progress and retained knowledge of heating, electrical, and air conditioning theory and application.

According to HVAC Excellence, accountability is essential to ensure the HVACR industry is being provided with entry-level technicians who are properly trained and ready to work in the industry. HEAT helps make sure educators are providing students with the entry-level competencies they need.
