PHOENIX — Hughes Supply Inc., headquartered in Orlando, Fla., will host its eighth and final major market event this year to celebrate its 75th anniversary. On October 9, Hughes will honor its vendors and customers in the Phoenix area with a 2-8 p.m. vendor showcase at Phoenix International Raceway.

Hughes hopes to attract over 1,500 customers to this event. According to Lee Flasher, national director of sales and marketing at Hughes, Phoenix is a key market for the wholesale distributor, with over 10 branches in the Phoenix area. Most recently, Hughes opened a water and sewer branch in Tolleson, Ariz.

“This will be our last major market event this year, and we hope to make it the best,” said Flasher. “Phoenix has a lot of potential for a large customer turnout and we plan to show each of them how much Hughes appreciates their business at this event.”

Hughes hosted an event in Denver in early September that attracted over 1,000 customers. The event was held at Invesco Field at Mile High. Through a random drawing, 50 pairs of tickets to Nuggets, Rockies, and Broncos games were given away. Free food, drinks, and live music also helped attract customers.

Hughes Supply, founded in 1928, is one of the nation’s largest diversified wholesale distributors of construction and industrial materials, including HVACR. A Fortune 500 company, Hughes distributes over 300,000 products through approximately 460 wholesale outlets located in 34 states.
