HRAI And HVACR Heritage Centre Agree To Affiliation

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - John Murphy, chair of the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI), and Norm Fraser, chair of the HVACR Heritage Centre Canada (HHCC), have announced an affiliation between the two organizations. HRAI will provide a base of operations and administrative support to the newly formed Heritage Centre, as well as house an ongoing public display of industry artifacts from the Heritage Centre collection.

"This affiliation with the Heritage Centre is viewed as a natural fit for the association that represents the interests of the HVACR industry in Canada," stated Murphy. "HRAI is pleased to play a role in preserving our industry's heritage for future generations."

According to Fraser, "The HVACR Heritage Centre board of directors views the affiliation with HRAI as a key step in achieving the strategic plans of the new Centre. We are now in a position to provide this leading edge virtual museum to the Canadian industry and to interested parties worldwide."

The HVACR Heritage Centre is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and recording the history of the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry and its essential contributions to Canada's heritage and way of life.

The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada, established in 1968, is the national trade association of manufacturers, wholesalers, and contractors in the Canadian HVACR industry who provide the products and services for indoor environmental control and refrigeration processes. HRAI has three industry sector divisions: HRAI Manufacturers Division; Canadian Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Wholesalers (CHRAW); and Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors of Canada (HRAC).

For more information, contact HRAI or HHCC at 800-267-2231 or e-mail hraimail@hrai.ca or info@hhc-canada.net.
