The HIH-4000 Series of humidity sensors has a thermoset sensing polymer, which allows the sensor to be cleaned and provides better resistance than typical thermoplastic polymers, the company says. Applications for the humidity sensors include humidistats/HVAC, environmental test chambers, and weather stations. Features include chemical resistivity and onboard signal conditioning. The HIH-4000 package has a recessed die, which is a next-generation complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) chip with a nitride passivation layer and light shield, the manufacturer states.
