Herman Blumenthal Passes Away
CHARLOTTE, NC — Herman Blumenthal, past chairman of Radiator Specialty Co., passed away on October 28, 2001. He was 86.
Mr. Blumenthal was the “patriarch” of Radiator Specialty, which was founded in 1924. He also was the cofounder of the Blumenthal Foundation, a nonprofit organization that encourages charity, religious education, and better inter-faith relations.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, and three sons: Alan (chairman of Radiator Specialty), Philip (director of the Blumenthal Foundation), and Samuel (a Charlotte psychologist).
