The manufacturer guarantees zero cross-contamination in a totally passive unit with no moving parts and a double separation between airstreams. An optional bypass damper allows for auto defrost, and an economizer cycle saves money by using outdoor air for ventilation during moderate seasons, the manufacturer says. Durable corrosion-protected aluminum or copper fins give the 3-D a long service life that is virtually maintenance-free, states the company.
