The ID-500 frost and ice detector can be added to any control system for the initialization and termination of defrost sequences. According to the manufacturer, the unit provides more consistent room temperatures because it defrosts on an as-needed basis, rather than running on a time schedule. The mounting bracket accommodates pipe and tubing sizes to 1 inch pipe size. It has low power requirements - 12-24 VAC or VDC at 135 mA. The ID-500 isolated relay output is dry contact form "C" at 120 VA for noninductive loads.
