GreenBuildingBlocks.com Launches Green Directory

DENVER - GreenBuildingBlocks.com is a new interactive resource for residential green building and home improvement professionals, launched last November by The Beam Inc. With more than 2,000 names listed, it is already one of the largest cross-industry residential green directories, according to the company.

GreenBuildingBlocks.com is an online professional services directory for architects, designers, contractors, trade workers, real estate agents, and developers. The new directory helps green building professionals find resources and connect with other skilled professionals to design, build, and deliver projects. It enables professionals to connect, participate, and profit from the growing residential green building and home improvement market.

Home building professionals are encouraged to register for the directory by visiting www.greenbuildingblocks.com.

“Integrated green design requires tight collaboration within a multidisciplinary team,” said The Beam CEO Patti Purcell. “Our market research consistently told us that finding resources to build out a team was a huge challenge for green building professionals. We provide a clearinghouse where professionals can easily connect with potential team members and build the integrated teams essential to green building. Our goal is to create a forum and shared knowledge base that members can use to build visibility, differentiate themselves, and to tap into opportunities presented by this growing market.”

NATIONAL SCOPE, LOCAL FOCUS

GreenBuildingBlocks.com is said to be a national directory with a local focus. Builders, designers, and other professionals who build, remodel, renovate, rent, or sell homes can list their businesses in 15 different categories. Businesses can list themselves in as many categories as needed to highlight their complete portfolio of expertise and experience.

The Website listings feature multiple tabs that allow businesses to:

• Showcase projects with photos and descriptions.

• List partnerships and key vendor relationships.

• Display professional licenses and certifications.

• Offer customer testimonials.

Location, category, keyword, and portfolio search capabilities make it easier for professionals to find each other. The directory is designed to enable green building professionals to connect quickly with the right people for each portion of a project.
