Grainger Has Storm Program

CHICAGO - In striving to create a safer work environment for businesses, Grainger is helping organizations across North America prepare for the winter storm season with a new winter storm program. Over the years emergency experts have advised people and businesses to prepare for storms ahead of time. While 70 percent of the annual snowfall in the United States falls between December and February, research indicates only 18 percent of adults living in storm-prone areas describe themselves as “very prepared” for a natural disaster such as a winter storm. The new program is designed to educate customers in an effort to mitigate some of the potential dangers caused by winter storms. It includes a 12-page company-created Winter Storm Preparedness Guide and a dedicated Website.
