The X13 high-efficiency residential HVAC blower motor, a standard ECM, is designed to replace conventional PSC motor technology. The motor was created to help manufacturers meet recent federal regulations that mandate efficiency ratings of 13 SEER or better in all new air conditioners and heat pumps. The blower motor has a brushless DC design. The permanent-magnet rotor does not require current to be induced across the air gap between the rotor and stator. The 1/3-, 1/2-, 3/4-, and 1-hp motors have a speed range of 600-1,100 rpm.
