The “ECM Service Guide” is a free diagnostic and service booklet developed specifically for use with the GE ECM variable-speed blower motors used in HVAC applications. It shows service technicians how to properly diagnose and service residential ECM-driven systems. The literature includes a troubleshooting protocol, a motor-identification chart, a guide for using the TECMate Pro diagnostic tool, and instructions for replacing the ECM control module. The service guide is included with each TECMate Pro and can be downloaded as a PDF from the manufacturer’s Website.
