Cool Choice

Cool Choice is a regional utility program said to help contractors increase customers and profits. Developed by electric utilities in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Jersey, it encourages commercial and industrial companies to install high-efficiency hvac systems through upfront rebates and every day lower utility bills. AmerenCIPS electric generating facilities have become part of a newly created nonregulated company -- AmerenEnergy Generating Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ameren Corp. (St. Louis, MO). The power will be marketed by a nonregulated affiliate, AmerenEnergy Marketing Co.
