Domestic Pump (Morton Grove, IL), a unit of ITT Industries, celebrated its 100th year of operation in 1999 with a celebration at its headquarters.

ITT Flygt (Stockholm, Sweden) opened a new supply and distribution center in Lindas, Sweden. Earlier, the company opened a center in Ennery, France.

TIF Instruments, Inc. (Miami, FL) announced the grand prize winners of its “Smooth Sailing with TIF” promotion. Consumer Delores Ann Brundage, Youngstown, OH, and counterman James S. Kopanic Sr., also of Youngstown, have each won a 7-day cruise for two.

The U.S. Navy is in hot water — hot swimming pool water — since 67 Aquatherm solar collectors were installed to heat two pools at the naval station at Norfolk, VA. The pool heating systems were designed and sold by Richard Good of Solar Services (Virginia Beach, VA).

Dustvent, Inc. (Addison, IL) has been acquired by BTDT Capital Corp. (Aurora, IL). William Hall, ceo of BTDT, will become the president and ceo of Dustvent.

Waterlink/Barnebey Sutcliffe Corp. (Columbus, OH) has launched a new Web site at www.bscarbons.com.

Trigen Energy Corp. (White Plains, NY) has received the Best Environmental Practice Award at the inaugural Financial Times Energy Awards event.

Advanced Refrigeration Technologies (La Quinta, CA) announced that it is participating in a new energy efficiency incentive program developed by San Diego Gas and Electric. The $100 incentive is offered to commercial customers with walk-in refrigerators and freezers who have evaporator fan controllers installed.

Meridian Project Systems (Sacramento, CA) has announced the integration of its application Prolog Manager with The Blue Book online directory database, www.thebluebook.com. The integrated products allow contractors to expand the bidding process with online access to more than 600,000 company listings.

 Meridian Project Systems has also launched Project Talk.com, a project management site for building and construction professionals. Currently available for review, registrants will be accepted the first quarter of 2000.

AdobeAir, Inc. (Phoenix, AZ) has been acquired by Castle Harlan, Inc. (New York, NY), a merchant bank.

Informative Graphics Corp. (Phoenix, AZ) announced an agreement with Constructw@re (Atlanta, GA) to use Informative Graphics’ Brava! technology to power viewing and collaboration in Constructw@re’s Web site.
