The new line of residential 14 SEER packaged equipment - heat pumps and gas packs - has externally accessible service ports for quick access to the refrigerant system. All the equipment has ratings of 11 EER and 8.0 HSPF. Features include a swept-wing fan blade and sound blanket for quieter performance, and R-410A refrigerant. Components such as high/low pressure switches and filter driers provide protection against compressor failure. The units also contain Copeland two-stage Ultra Tech compressors and GE ECM 2.3 variable-speed motors.
