HAYWARD, Calif. - Forensic Analytical Specialties Inc., located here, has announced the hiring of Dr. Gustavo Delgado as laboratory director of its Laboratory Services Division. Delgado will be overseeing the industrial hygiene and environmental laboratories in Las Vegas and Portland, Ore., plus Hayward and Rancho Dominguez, Calif.

According to Forensic Analytical, Delgado has been working in industrial hygiene laboratories for nearly 20 years. He has delivered numerous lectures on the hazards of asbestos in such forums as the National Asbestos Council and University of California-Berkeley's Environmental Hazards Management Program. His experience also includes serving as an expert witness on cases involving California OSHA violations, product liability, property transactions, and other lawsuits involving asbestos exposure to workers or building occupants.

Recently he has been active in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) as the chair of the Analytical Accreditation Board, which oversees the management of all AIHA Laboratory Quality Assurance Programs.
