The new EP Series of high-efficiency commercial water-source heat pumps are designed to assist building designers in achieving Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by reducing electrical energy consumption and CO2 emissions. These high-efficiency heat pumps can be used in both water loop and geothermal applications and have a range of options to suit different applications. The unit’s standard sound package features a floating base pan, which isolates the compressor from the cabinet and absorbs the vibration energy ensuring low noise operation. An optional heavy-duty compressor blanket is available for units installed in noise critical locations. With an available capacity range from ½ to 6 tons, the EP Series includes a four-sided filter rack and foil-faced fiberglass insulation for improved IAQ properties.
