LIBERTY CORNER, NJ — Fedders Corp., a manufacturer of air treatment products, including air conditioners, air cleaners, dehumidifiers, and humidifiers, announced that its Rotorex subsidiary and Dong Fang Electromechanical, a subsidiary of China North Industries Group Corporation, entered into an agreement to form a joint venture to manufacture rotary compressors for air conditioners in Xi’an, China. Rotorex and Dong Fang will each have a 50% interest in Xi’an Fedders Dong Fang Air Conditioner Compressor Co. Ltd.

Also, Fedders Engineered Products unit has signed an agreement to lease a facility in Suzhou Industrial Park in Suzhou, China, where it will manufacture residential, commercial, and industrial air cleaner products. The company’s Envirco subsidiary will produce MAC-10 air filtering systems for cleanrooms primarily used in the production of semiconductors and hard drives, as well as in cleanrooms used in the biotech, medical, and pharmaceutical precipitators used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
