Fedders Elects Giordano President

LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. - Fedders Corp. announced changes to the structure of its management team. As part of its continuing transformation from a company solely focused on the North American room air conditioner market to a diverse, multinational organization focused on the broader air treatment industry, the company is implementing the following changes:

  • Michael Giordano, formerly executive vice president, finance and administration, and chief financial officer, was elected president of Fedders Corp.

  • Robert Laurent Jr., formerly executive vice president, acquisitions and alliances, and previously chief financial officer for 10 years, was elected executive vice president, finance and acquisitions, and chief financial officer.

  • Michael Etter was elected president of a new strategic business unit, Fedders Global Sourcing Solutions.

  • Kent Hansen was elected executive vice president, administration, and secretary.

  • Rick Essex was promoted to president, Fedders International.

  • Dr. C.P. Ho was promoted to president, Fedders Indoor Air Quality.

  • Chuck Weber was promoted to president, Melcor Corp.

  • Warren Emley was promoted to senior vice president, Operations-Fedders International.

  • Nancy DiGiovanni, treasurer, has assumed additional responsibility for financial services and was promoted to vice president and treasurer.

  • Greg Ottalagano was promoted to vice president, customer service for residential HVAC.
