Farwell Rejoins Rheem's Team

NEW YORK - Ian Stewart Farwell has accepted the position of president and CEO of Rheem Manufacturing Co. He succeeds Scott Martin, who recently left Rheem to pursue other business opportunities.

A veteran of nearly 30 years with Rheem, Farwell has held a variety of management posts for the firm: general manager of Rheem Canada, president of the Water Heating Division, and president of the Air Conditioning Division. He became executive vice president and COO of Rheem Manufacturing in 2002 before retiring last summer.

Farwell has also been an active volunteer in a variety of industry trade groups, having served as chairman of the Canadian Gas Association and as a director of both the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating. He is also a past chairman of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association.
