Extech Instruments: Humidity Alert Meter

The 445815 humidity alert meter, an addition to the Hygro-Thermometer line, features a user-settable alarm, which will warn users, audibly and visually, when adverse conditions occur. This meter calculates and displays the dew point reading. A remote probe can either clip onto the meter or extend on an 18-inch cable, where the user can take measurements behind walls, in ducts, or other difficult-to-reach areas. The large-digit LCD screen allows humidity, temperature, and dew point readings to be displayed simultaneously. The meter measures humidity from 10 percent to 99 percent rh, with an accuracy of ± 4 percent rh, and measures temperature from 14° to 140°F (-10° to 60°C) with an accuracy of ±1.8° (1°C).
