Calibrator thermometers Model 42311 (Type J) and Model 42312 (Type K) are designed to source or measure Type J or K thermocouples. In the source mode, different output values are quickly selected using the rotary switch and fine and coarse adjustments, says the manufacturer. Source temperature ranges up to 2,000°F. In the measurement mode, the thermometers accept one or two thermocouples with data hold and max functions. Basic accuracy is 0.1% with 0.1°/1° resolution, the company says. Source and measurement values are displayed on a backlit LCD.
