People who service motor vehicle air conditioning must be certified. Now preparing for that certification can be achieved in English or Spanish. ESCO Institute has released a Spanish version of the Section 609 EPA Certification.

The certification covers servicing motor vehicle air conditioning including repairs, leak testing, and topping off of air conditioning systems low on refrigerant, as well as any other repair to the vehicle which requires dismantling any part of the air conditioner.

The certification is required to service motor vehicle a/c systems, and required to purchase small containers (under 20 pounds) of regulated refrigerants.
