The “Sterile Sweep” unit has a reflector connected to the UVC lamp. The reflector keeps the lamp clean and concentrates the UVC into a sterilizing “beam” that sweeps across a surface such as an air filter or coil, the manufacturer says. According to the company, when this unit is used in conjunction with the Dynamic Air Cleaners, the combined system provides ongoing biological protection against airborne pathogens by ensuring the UVC contact time needed to neutralize even resistant strains.
