Emerson Conference Addresses Multiple Industries

ST. LOUIS - Emerson Climate Technologies’ annual Technology in Action Conference (TAC), held April 14-16, presented topics covering store design, energy efficiency, and refrigerant issues in an effort to offer operational and energy-saving solutions for retailers. According to the company, this multi-industry retail conference brought solutions to many of the problems that consistently challenge supermarkets, convenience stores, box retailers, and restaurant operators.

“From rising energy costs to the demand for sustainable store design, retailers today face many energy and operational challenges,” said Matt Lauck, director of marketing, Emerson Climate Technologies, Retail Solutions.

“TAC shows retailers how they can put the latest technologies into action to solve critical problems, reduce their environmental impact, optimize facility operations, and increase system reliability.”

Beyond special educational seminars, TAC’s networking opportunities allow leading retailers from across the globe to interact and exchange ideas with peers from various markets that share similar challenges. The conference also hosts focus groups, giving retailers the opportunity to provide insight and direction to Emerson’s product development teams, helping to ensure that its future solutions continue to address key customer demands. According to the company, this feedback will help drive the next iteration of product and service offerings.

Also during TAC 2008, Emerson’s newest technologies were showcased in the Technology Exchange portion of the conference. Technologies on display included refrigeration and HVAC technologies, power-switching technologies, energy tools, wireless devices, backup power for POS and computer systems components, and offerings for food service applications.
