Elite Software: Load Calculation Software

Chvac 7.0 commercial HVAC heating-cooling load calculation computer program incorporates the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Radiant Time Series (RTS) calculation method. The cooling load temperature difference (CLTD) method was retained in this version as well for use in comparisons. The user can enter the floor slab coefficient for each zone, rather than having to use the same value for the whole project, the company says. The width and height dimensions for each window or skylight can be entered, rather than having to enter them for the master glass and then figure out the correct quantity to enter on the Zone Data window, states the company. The room construction value of light, medium, or heavy required for each glass in the CLTD method now is automatically assigned based on the selection the user makes for the entire zone in the new Zone Type input. Weather database editing makes it easier to edit and add cities in the weather database, says the company.
