Dynasonics: Duct Silencers

The NF-Series Packless Silencers have a specially adapted perforated metal baffle that reduces cavitations, minimizes pressure loss, and filters unwanted noise through a series of highly tuned resonant cavities, says the company. The manufacturer states that this series is specifically engineered for maximum noise reduction from 125 Hz to 2,000 Hz and achieves peak performance in the 500 Hz octave band. All NF-Series silencers are rated for duct pressures up to 8 inches water gauge and are constructed from 100 percent galvanized steel with no fill materials, liners, or membranes of any sort, the company says. The duct silencers are available in lengths of 36, 72, and 108 inches.
