The new lightweight, Model 471-3 digital thermo-anemometer takes air velocity and temperature readings with a telescoping, flexible, stainless steel tip. Fully extended, the probe reaches 33 in. (83 cm) and weighs 12 oz (340 g), including the battery. Designed for taking multiple duct traverse measurements, the comfortable “gun handle” grip and high-contrast LCD shows readings in ranges of ft/min or m/sec, and in degrees Farenheit or degrees Celsius, says the company. Accuracy is ±3% FS for ranges 0 to 500 ft/min (0 to 3.0 m/sec) and 0 to 1,500 ft/min (0 to 7.0 m/sec), ±4% FS for range 0 to 5,000 ft/min (0 to 30 m/sec), and ±5% FS for 0 to 15,000 (0 to 70 m/sec).
