According to Drees Homes, the Evolution System represents its commitment to using best-in-class technology in its homes to ensure the comfort of homeowners. Drees estimates that over the next five years the company will build more than 3,000 single-family homes with the system.
With the Evolution System, every Drees single-family home will come equipped with Bryant's 90i variable-speed furnace and a high-efficiency air conditioner with an efficiency rating of up to 13 SEER that uses PuronÂ® refrigerant. At the hub is Bryant's new Evolution Control, which integrates and monitors the system.
"The Evolution System's technology allows homeowners to maximize comfort and efficiency while minimizing their effort," said Barbara Drees, Drees Homes marketing director. "With this system, our homeowners will be able to manage five home comfort functions, including temperature, humidity, airflow, ventilation, and indoor air quality (IAQ), at one time and from one location."
The Evolution System provides longer heating and cooling cycles at lower fan speeds, which translate into energy savings, as well as more consistent temperatures and humidity control throughout the home, says Bryant. Other control benefits include an easy-to-read, large backlit display; user-friendly programmability; and advanced communication capabilities that advise homeowners with tips to maintain optimum performance, the company says.
