MoreLIVONIA, Mich. — Guardian Environmental Services Inc., headquartered here, was awarded Commercial Contractor of the Year for 2003 by the Michigan Chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (MIACCA). The award was presented at the annual MIACCA Convention in early May.
Guardian was honored by MIACCA for its professional services including HVAC service, building controls, and HVAC installations. Some of the criteria used to determine the Commercial Contractor of the Year include employee training, marketing proficiency, high technology, substantial company growth, customer satisfaction, and company profitability.
Guardian has been in business since 1984 under the leadership of John C. Philbin, president. The company employs 60 workers who are represented by The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 547.
