The DP 3000 is a LEED-compliant, zero volatile organic compound (VOC), fast-tack water-based insulation adhesive designed for commercial and residential HVAC applications. It can be used to bond fiberglass duct liner or insulation to galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum ductwork. The bonding time of the adhesive is approximately 1-5 minutes, depending on the humidity, temperature, and substrate; the adhesive develops tack almost immediately. It is supplied in a convenient pressurized canister spray system. It yields 8,000 square feet of coverage from a 30-pound canister. According to the manufacturer, the adhesive eliminates the flammability and VOC issues commonly associated with solvent-based canister spray systems and solvent-based adhesives in general.
