Whitman's career in government has spanned the state and national levels. Most recently, she served as administrator of the EPA in the cabinet of President George W. Bush from January 2001 to June 2003. Prior to her federal service, she was governor of New Jersey, serving two terms from January 1994 to December 2000.
"TI is fortunate to have a leader of Governor Whitman's caliber join its board of directors," said Tom Engibous, Texas Instruments chairman, president, and chief executive officer.
