Dec. 12, 2002: AAON Chooses Copeland For Product Line

ST. LOUIS, MO — Emerson Climate Technologies announced recently that AAON Inc., a manufacturer of commercial rooftop heating and cooling systems, will use Copeland Scroll™ compressors inside its entire line of commercial air conditioning products.

Under the new agreement with Emerson, Copeland Scroll compressors will be featured in all of AAON’s commercial air conditioning equipment, which represents nearly 90 percent of the company’s $157 million in annual sales. AAON began using Copeland Scroll technology in its air conditioning systems in 1992.

“We are very pleased to expand our relationship with AAON and support all of its compressor needs with our Copeland Scroll technology,” said Tom Bettcher, CEO of Copeland and business leader for Emerson Climate Technologies. “When two companies that share the same commitment to quality and innovation enter into an agreement like this, the biggest winners are the thousands of commercial building owners who are demanding greater energy efficiency, reliability, and quieter operation in rooftop air conditioning systems.”
