Danfoss Inc., Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Division: Valve Electronic Control
Type AK2-XM 208B, a member of the second-generation Adap-Kool® family, is an electronic controller that operates various manufacturers' electronic evaporator pressure regulating (EEPR) valves and provides the tightest PID temperature control available, claims the company. The electronic controller has a software algorithm that resides in the new module, controlling suction pressure based on the conditions in a refrigeration circuit's most loaded fixture. This algorithm continually matches suction pressure to fixture load, quickly adjusting for any pressure fluctuation due to changes in load, says the manufacturer. Each control module can serve up to four EEPR valves.
