Optymaâ„¢ high-efficiency condensing units offer capacities from 1/5 to 13-1/2 hp. The units' design is so efficient that for each given capacity, a smaller compressor can be used than in conventional units, claims the manufacturer. The design ensures a wider operating envelope, especially in high ambient conditions, the company says. The units are used in applications ranging from commercial refrigeration to small solar-powered appliances. An extensive array of options is available to meet OEM and aftermarket requirements. The range includes models suitable for all common HFC, HCFC, and CFC refrigerants. On units greater than 1 hp, crankcase heater service valves with access ports, receiver, and high-pressure/fan control are standard. All units 1 hp and below have standard service valves.
