BALTIMORE, MD — Danfoss announced that, in the near future, high-tech compressors for refrigerators and freezers will be keeping Coca-Cola® cool, while reducing the energy consumption by more than 20%. At the same time, the compressors are using environ-mentally friendly refrigerants like hydrocarbons.

Danfoss says it is ready to provide the kind of equipment that supports the Coca-Cola Company’s environmental policies for cooling equipment that were announced in June 2000.

According to Danfoss, the specific solution is a prototype single-door cooler created in a joint project with Denmark’s Technical Institute, the Danish Government’s Energy Agency, and Vestfrost, a Danish producer of bottle coolers.
