Type TRE expansion valves, designed for air conditioning applications and for use with R-22 and R-410A, have brass-forged bodies with bi-metal ODF connections for waterless brazing. Other features include a stainless steel bulb and capillary tube, and a laser-welded power element for longer life, says the manufacturer. Four valve body sizes are being offered in adjustable and nonadjustable versions. A kit is available to allow field conversion of nonadjustable valves to adjustable units.
